How Land Rover key programming actually works
Modern Range Rover, Discovery, Velar and Evoque models store key data inside the KVM (Keyless Vehicle Module). A new smart key must be authenticated against that module, which requires a secure connection to the vehicle and, in some cases, an online security calculation.
That is why a generic key cutter cannot help you. The physical blade is the easy part — the authentication and immobilizer sync is where experience and equipment matter.
